Meet Your Tutor - Cynthia Greep

Cynthia is the director of NZ Textile Experiences, travelling regularly between Central Otago and Nelson/Tasman to tutor workshops that weave together creativity, connection, and natural materials. A multidisciplinary artist, she works across natural fibre textiles, ceramics, and painting, with a practice grounded in sustainability and the beauty of repurposed materials.

Her background includes:

  • Diploma in Art & Creativity – The Learning Connexion
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching
  • BA (Honours) in Psychology, with a focus on art history
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Business
  • Former owner of several second-hand clothing boutiques, most recently Natural Fibre Atelier in Clyde, specialising in natural fibre garments (silk, wool, linen) and second-chance clothing
  • Experience in art management, governance and supporting artists to develop their business/brand
