This two-day workshop is designed to guide you to create a wall hanging which is unique and personal to yourself.

Sally is an experienced painter and textile artist who enjoys passing on her knowledge to others. Using a base of a woollen blanket or other large piece of fabric (eg linen, curtain or coffee sack), and various techniques such as stitching, needle felting, collage and applique, incorporating recycled and repurposed textiles and fibres.

Sally will show you various ways of including text and symbols in an abstract way. There will be a component of design on paper necessary before getting stitching. It may be helpful to already have an idea of what you’d like to create as this will assist with the design phase.
