This workshop is for those who can spin a basic 2-ply yarn and who want to experiment with more advanced techniques using a spinning wheel.

Start by learning techniques to impose your wishes upon the wool, including spinning the yarn thickness you want rather than 'what the wool wants'. Once these skills are mastered we'll move on to spinning a range of novelty yarns, which can include shaggy yarns, spiral spinning, core spinning, bouche, rats tails and various plying and binding techniques, depending on your preference.

You will go home with several different skeins of wool you have spun.

Dates Available:

Sunday 26 January 2025 (10:00am to 16:00pm)

Sunday 23 February 2025 (10:00am to 16:00pm)
