Learn different techniques, including gelli prints and hand carved stamps, using acrylic paint to create mono-prints on fabric.

This one-day workshop is an exploration of techniques and possibilities. You will create numerous pieces on recycled fabric to incorporate into other textile art such as textile collage, bags, small embellishments, instead of creating one artwork (the techniques are not suitable for clothing.)

Sally is an experienced painter and textile artist who enjoys passing on her knowledge to others. Take inspiration from nature, and natural objects such as plants, feathers and stones to use for printing.

The workshop is suitable for everyone from experienced artists to beginners, who are wanting to expand the possibilities of printing and textiles.

 Materials to bring:

  • Sketch book or paper and pencils, gelli-plate if you have one
  • Fabrics you may want to print on, neutral coloured
    • There will be plenty of fabric to use supplied
  • Anything that you would like to incorporate into your prints such as favourite plants, feathers textures from nature or anything else you have collected.
